Siderperu bags financial support for scrap recycling activities
Peruvian long products steelmaker Empresa Siderúrgica del Perú (Siderperu), a subsidiary of Brazil's Gerdau, says it has secured long-term funding from Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP) to expand scrap use and, potentially, melting capacity.
The financing of $4 million will be used also to promote a programme for the collection and use of scrap in the steelmaking process.
