Sierra Leone arrests SL Mining employees
Several employees at SL Mining’s iron ore operations in Sierra Leone have been arrested, the miner’s parent company Gerald International Limited tells Kallanish.
The five expatriates were arrested on 13 May. They include two British, one Indian, one South African and one dual nationality (Sierra Leone/US) citizens. No formal charges have been made for their arrest at this point, and the SL Mining’s offer of bail has been denied. At the time, the …
