SIMEC Mining to improve magnetite production
GFG Alliance's mining arm in Australia, SIMEC Mining, has commenced its magnetite expansion project in order to support GFG's ambitions to be carbon neutral by 2030.
SIMEC Mining is now completing construction of the first of a two-phase de-bottlenecking process, which will increase magnetite concentrate production from the current 1.3 million tonnes/year to 2.5m t/y, Kallanish notes.
