SMS completes Ningbo mill cooling upgrade
German technology supplier SMS tells Kallanish that it has been granted a final acceptance certificate (FAC) by China’s Ningbo Iron & Steel for the modernisation of the latter’s hot strip mill cooling section. This will enable the steelmaker to extend its product mix.
The FAC was issued only 14 months after placement of the order, in late September, SMS confirms.
