SMS group cheers Nucor plate groundbreaking
Industrial equipment supplier SMS group is congratulating Nucor on its groundbreaking for a new heavy plate facility in Brandenburg, Kentucky, Kallanish reports.
The groundbreaking took place on 23 October.
SMS supplied the single-strand caster for the mill, which will be capable of producing slabs in thicknesses between 200-305mm and widths up to 3,150mm.
