Spain’s August scrap consumption, crude steel production recover

The Spanish steel sector saw scrap melting and production increase on-month in August, Kallanish notes. Both activities also remained higher than the same month a year ago. Spain’s ferrous scrap consumption rose by 5.9% or 35,000 tonnes on-month in August to 626,000t. This was also a growth of 50% on-year.
