Spain’s July scrap consumption tumbles to six-month low

The Spanish steel sector saw scrap melting and production decrease on-month in July, Kallanish notes. Both activities also remained weaker than the same month a year ago. Spain’s ferrous scrap consumption fell by 24.4% or 189,000 tonnes on-month in July to 587,000t. This was also a drop of 14% on-year.
