Spot power prices rise in France, Germany

European spot electricity prices for next day delivery increased on Thursday. They were pushed by falling wind power production in Germany and an unplanned nuclear outage in France, Kallanish Steel's sister publication Kallanish Energy reports. The day-ahead contract for Germany power was trading up 6.3% day-over-day at €33.8 ($37.60) per megawatt hour (MWh). Its equivalent contract in France, for Friday delivery, was up 4.9% at €34.1/MWh…
