SSAB modernises drives and motors at Borlänge
SSAB has awarded ABB with the modernisation of roller table drives and motors at its hot strip mill in Borlänge, Sweden, to be carried out in a three-phase rollout over three years.
The new elements will be integrated with the existing distributed control system (DCS) supplied by ABB earlier. Installation and commissioning are tied to planned maintenance shutdowns in 2021, 2022 and 2023, Kallanish learns from the supplier of automation systems.
