Steel Dynamics, Nucor raise beam, MBQ prices
US long steel producers Steel Dynamics Inc and Nucor have increased their base prices for merchant bar and beam, Kallanish reports.
According to letters sent to customers late last week, both producers announced merchant bar prices will increase by $60/short ton effective 21 December, representatives from both producers confirm with Kallanish.
Additionally, both producers announced that beam prices will increase by $80/st, also effective 21 December.
