Steel futures edge down slowly
Chinese steel futures edged down slowly on Wednesday with a quiet spell for policy announcements and weak spot transactions. Rebar futures touched the lowest since early September, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded January 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 31/tonne lower than Tuesday at CNY 3,647/t ($505/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 25/t to CNY 3,665/t.
