Steel futures fall to four-month low
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures continued to fall on the second trading day after the long National Day holiday, and touched the lowest level in the past four months, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 28/t lower than Monday at CNY 3,610/t ($495/t). The same contract for HRC lost CNY 25/t to CNY 3,715/t.
