Steel futures stabilise as production slips
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures on Wednesday closed higher on the prior trading day, but the average intraday transaction prices were still a little lower, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 9/t higher than Tuesday at CNY 3,619/t ($496/t)., and the same contract for HRC gained CNY 3/t to CNY 3,718/t.
