Steel mill imports, exports fall in US
Both imports and exports from steel mills in the US fell during August, Kallanish learns from data published by the US Census Bureau and the US Bureau of Economic Analysis.
According to the latest monthly international trade report, exports of iron and steel from US mills fell by $55 million, or 4.7%, during August to $1.01 billion. Imports of iron and steel products fell as well by $34m to $2.59 billion, or 1.1% below last month's import levels…
