Steel mill imports, exports rise in the US
Both imports and exports of steel mill products fell in the US at the end of last year, Kallanish learns from data published by the US Census Bureau and the US Bureau of Economic Analysis.
According to the latest monthly international trade report, exports of iron and steel from the US fell by 11% to $904 million in December. Imports of iron and steel to the US fell as well, by 18% from the prior month, to $1.04 billion at the end of last year.
