Steel mill shipments from US rise on-year
Monthly shipments from US steel mills fell at the end of the 2021 but remain up on-year, suggests data gathered by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
In December, US mills shipped 7.87 million short tons of steel products. In a monthly comparison, shipments fell by 0.3% from 7.89m st in November. In an on-year comparison, monthly steel mill shipments from the US in December remain up by 11.7% on-year.
