Steel profits rise in US during Q2
Profits from steel sales in the US rose in the second quarter, Kallanish learns from data collected by the Census Bureau.
According to the Bureau's quarterly financial report, sales of primary metals and fabricated metal products rose to $74.9 billion and $81.8 billion, respectively, in the second quarter.
Profits from both primary and fabricated metal sales rose in the second quarter, as well, by $5 billion and $1.6 billion, respectively.
