Steel slides further as G20 approaches
Chinese steel futures prices slowed a decline but remained on a downward trajectory on Thursday. The end of the week is also prompting traders to wait and see what happens after the G20 meeting in Hangzhou over the weekend, Kallanish notes.
The January rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed down CNY 20/tonne at CNY 2,402/t ($360/t), while the October hot rolled coil contract closed down CNY 43/t at CNY 2,741/t.
