Steelmakers' output rebounds in Xinjiang
Steelmakers in Xinjiang have gradually returned construction longs production in the province to 14,000 tonnes/day in May, according to media reports. Following planned maintenance and production reductions due to public private partnership (PPP) projects halted in April, some steelmakers have restarted production and some others plan to increase output in May, Kallanish notes.
