Sudden demand causes domestic rebar shortage: Turkish steelmakers
The recent shortage of rebar in the domestic market was caused by a sudden increase in demand after the constitutional referendum, says the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
The situation with domestic sales has started normalising in a short time, along with efforts towards suspending export bookings. Difficulties have been already overcome in many regions, TCUD says in a recent statement, made available to Kallanish.
