Railway bottleneck fails to harm Swiss Steel
The blocking of the Rhine Valley train route between Karlsruhe and Basel is affecting steel transport to and from Germany, but Schmolz+Bickenbach’s speciality steels Swiss mills have so far been little affected.
According to an S+B spokesman, Swiss Steel and its sister company Steeltec do use the route in question, as do Deutsche Edelstahlwerke to a minor extent, but their business has not suffered much.
