Taiwan scrap prices gain on currency depreciation
After stabilising in the second half of August, scrap prices in Taiwan started to rise this week driven by currency depreciation.
Major local Taiwanese steel mill Feng Hsin Iron & Steel has increased its scrap purchasing prices and rebar sales prices each by TWD 200/tonne ($6.3/t) for this week.
