Global uptick lifts Taiwan scrap prices, demand subdued

Taiwan scrap market prices have increased slightly due to an uptick in global scrap trade, but subdued rebar sales mean steel prices in Taiwan are unchanged. Kallanish assessed HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap on Wednesday at $465-470/tonne cfr Taiwan, up by $5-10/t week-on-week.
