Taiwan scrap rises on currency depreciation

Due to the recent depreciation of the Taiwan dollar, purchasing costs of scrap importers in Taiwan have increased. Kallanish assessed HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap at $372/tonne cfr Taiwan, up $2/t on-week. Containerised US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap was offered at $372-375/t cfr Taiwan this week.
