Taiwanese scrap declines on less buying interest

The spread of Covid-19 in Taiwan and reduced production due to summer power cuts have slowed down trading activity in the Taiwanese scrap market, Kallanish notes. Offer prices of imported scrap have nevertheless been firm this week. HMS 1&2 80:20 from the US West Coast is offered at $450-455/tonne cfr Taiwan.
