Taiwanese scrap gains on tight domestic supply

Scrap prices in Taiwan have strengthened this week due to firm overseas offers and slowing domestic supply. Kallanish assessed HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap at $360-365/tonne cfr Taiwan, up $10/t on-week. Offers from the US are starting to recover strongly, say local Taiwanese market players.
