Taiwanese scrap remains stable amid slow purchasing

The Taiwanese scrap market has stabilised this week. Although Japanese scrap prices have risen, US scrap prices have remained flat, Kallanish notes. Late last week, the purchase price of Taiwanese scrap continued to fall, to $440-443/tonne cfr Taiwan, on the back of steel mills' reduced purchasing.
