Taiwanese scrap hikes amid steel demand, Turkey rebound
The Taiwanese scrap market has rebounded slightly, boosted by higher scrap prices in Turkey.
Containerised US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 is now offered at $330-335/tonne cfr Taiwan, rebounding by $10/t from last week. A 2,000-3,000t-tonne deal was concluded at $325/t cfr Taiwan earlier this week, a local trader says.
