Taiwanese scrap prices decline more slowly

The Taiwanese scrap market has almost stabilised this week, following the decline of the wider Asian scrap market. There has been only a slight drop during the week. Kallanish assessed HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap on Wednesday at $452/tonne cfr Taiwan, down by $3/t week-on-week. HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap from the US West Coast was offered at $455-460/t cfr Taiwan, but deal prices stretched lower compared with last week to $452/t cfr Taiwan.…
