Taiwanese stainless steelmakers report difficult 2023
Taiwan’s leading stainless steel manufacturer Walsin Lihwa still reported positive earnings for 2023 despite a year-on-year decrease. Yieh United Corporation (Yusco) and Teng Eng Iron Works reported losses, Kallanish learns.
Walsin Lihwa reported full year revenue of TWD 189.84 billion ($6.02 billion), up 5.23% over 2022. However, the annual profit still slumped 69% to just TWD 5.94 billion.
