Taiwan’s cross-border steel trade rebounds in March
In March this year, Taiwan’s steel imports and exports rebounded sharply from February. Exports however were still weaker than a year earlier, compared with rising imports, according to data from the Ministry of Finance, Taiwan.
Monthly exports by value surged 27.6% from February but decreased 5.3% year-on-year to $1.46 billion. This took first-quarter exports to $4.06 billion, a year-on-year loss of 8.6%, Kallanish notes.
