Tangshan extends steelmaking restriction order
Tangshan city government has amended its steel production restriction order due to continuing air pollution over 29-31 March. Over the period steel mills should cease sintering activity, using shaft furnaces and rolling steel, Kallanish notes.
Investigations show that local steel mills received the urgent steel restriction order on 29 March in the morning. Most steel sections’ producers have stopped production.
