Tata Steel reports record December-quarter sales
Tata Steel has reported its highest-ever December-quarter delivery volumes in India, at 4.88 million tonnes. This is up by 3% quarter-on-quarter and 10% year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
The growth is mainly attributed to the rise in domestic deliveries due to continued robust demand for steel in the Indian market. The company also reports its India crude steel production was 5.32mt in the fiscal quarter through December (FQ3), up 6% each q-o-q and y-o-y.
