Techint completes increase in Usiminas control
The Techint Group (TT), comprising Tenaris, Ternium and Confab Industrial, has completed the acquisition of 68.7 million ordinary shares of Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais Usiminas. These have been acquired from Japanese co-investors Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation, Mitsubishi and MetalOne (NSC group).
This comes after the group entered into a share purchase agreement on 30 March at a price of BRL 10 ($2.07) per share.
