Thyssenkrupp tests app to improve waterway ore deliveries
Thyssenkrupp Steel is testing a digital logistics tracking system which enables every barge it uses for waterway transport to use the Internet of Things and equips it with a GPS sensor. This is designed to minimise disruptions to raw materials deliveries.
The data includes information on tonnage, raw material cargo and port arrival time, calculated with the aid of artificial intelligence, Kallanish notes.
