China's Tianjin fines mislabelled steel traders
China's Tianjin government authorities have recently confiscated product from and fined several physical steel brokers for selling mislabelled steel products. The mislabelled steel producers will be fined CNY 942,891 ($149,809) for producing illegal steel whilst ignoring the law on production standards.
In China, despite major clearances in 2017, the law enforcement and removal of mislabelled steel remains a high priority for some provincial governments…
