Turkey's February HR flats exports to Italy surge
Turkish hot-rolled (HR) flat steel exports continued to grow considerably in February as shipments to Italy surged further, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
February's HR flats exports grew 74.5% year-on-year and 49% on-month to 335,318 tonnes. The overall average value/tonne of these exports rose to $599/t from $503/t a year earlier.
