Turkey's flats exports surge, imports decline in March
The increasing trend in Turkish flat steel exports continued in March, registering a 61.4% on-year surge, while flats imports fell, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
Turkey's overall steel product imports declined -15.1% y-o-y to 1.43 million tonnes in March. At the same time, total steel exports grew 32.4% to 2.05mt and their value increased 47% y-o-y to $1.33 billion, TCUD says in a statement.
