Habas boosts HRC capacity by 80%

Habas is set to increase hot rolled coil capacity to 4.5 million tonnes/year from 2.5m t/y on account of modernisation, according to technology supplier SMS. A recent upgrade enabled Habas to produce thin hot strip in the challenging thickness range of 1.2-2mm – unrivalled on conventional hot strip mills, SMS says.
