Turkey's steel imports decline in January-April
Turkish steel imports declined on-year in the first four months of the year, mainly driven by a drop in semi-finished product imports, according to the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
The country's total steel product imports went down -19.9% to 5.18 million tonnes and their total value slipped -2% to $5.66 billion in January-April. Semis imports decreased by -28% to 2.3mt and flat steel imports fell -14% to 1.79mt, TCUD says in a statement …
