Turkey’s rebar export losses deepen in April
Turkish rebar exports accelerated their long-lasting downswing in April, hitting historical lows. They plummeted to a mere 164,300 tonnes in April from 506,912t last year. They were also down from 306,762t in January, 209,397t in February and 202,399t in March, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Average price was $709/tonne versus $798/t in April 2022 and $702/t in March 2023.
