Turkish construction confidence rebounds from record-low
Turkey’s seasonally-adjusted construction sector confidence rebounded to 56.7 in January versus a record-low 55.4 the previous month. The order-books index surged 18.2% to 46.4, but the total employment expectation index declined -6.2% to 67.1, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) says in a note seen by Kallanish.
An index above 100 indicates an optimistic outlook, while below 100 indicates a pessimistic outlook.
