Turkish EAF output growth offsets BOF slump

Growth of 1.3% on-year in Turkish electric arc furnace-based steel production offset a -1.2% slump in oxygen converter route output in May. Overall Turkish crude steel output that month inched up 0.5% to 3.33 million tonnes, according to the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD).
