Turkish economic growth slows as construction activity shrinks
Turkish Gdp growth slowed to 1.6% on-year in the third quarter versus 5.3% in Q2 and 7.2% in Q1, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Activity in Turkey’s construction sector declined -5.3% in Q3 versus a 1% rise in Q2 and 6.7% growth in Q1. Manufacturing activity rose 0.6% compared to 4.5% and 8.7% growth in Q2 and Q1 respectively.
