Turkish first-half exports decline despite strong June growth

Turkish steel exports rose 13.1% on-year in June to 1.6 million tonnes, while their value surged 34.6% to $1.2 billion, according to the Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association (CIB). In the first half of 2018 Turkish steel exports declined -2.5% on-year to 9.4mt, but increased 22.4% in value to $7.1 billion.
