Turkish iron ore imports fall but prices rise
Turkish iron ore imports fell -13% on-year in December 2018 to 1.02 million tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was $100.7/tonne versus $84.7/t in December 2017.
Brazil was the largest supplier with 338,909t, although this was down -45% on-year. Next came Sweden whose supply fell -23% to 185,054t and then Canada which provided 171,614t versus zero a year earlier. South Africa supplied 166,036…
