Turkish iron ore imports, prices slump, exports rise
Turkish iron ore imports declined -23% on-year in February to 298,675 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was down -29% to $71/tonne.
Brazil supplied 249,144t of iron ore in February, flat on-year, while Ukraine provided 49,501t versus zero a year earlier. However, Canada and Russia supplied zero each versus 101,002t and 37,592t respectively in February 2018.
