Turkish longs fall amid collapsed scrap, weak demand
Turkish long steel producers have further decreased their prices from last week amid lacklustre demand and falling scrap values.
On Thursday, mills’ official rebar offers in export markets were pegged at around $595-600/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, down from $610-615/t a week earlier. However, lower offers at $590-595/t were also available from a few mills. Mesh-quality wire rod quotes are at $600-610/t fob, notes Kallanish.
