Turkish mills further reduce rebar amid subdued demand
Turkish long steelmakers have further lowered bar prices for the Turkish domestic market following the decline in scrap import prices and sluggish domestic steel demand, Kallanish notes.
Integrated producer Kardemir has reduced 12-32mm diameter rebar by TRY 75/tonne ($14) to TRY 2,680/t ($506), with 12-18mm round bar being cut by the same amount to TRY 2,697/t.
