Turkish producers fret over EU flats safeguard revision
The potential imposition by the EU of country-based safeguard quotas for hot rolled flat products imports would be incompatible with Turkey’s free trade agreement with the European Coal and Steel Community. This is according to the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD), which adds such a quota would further hurt Turkey’s already declining exports.
